The base game is a chain reaction: wins and explosions collapse the grid, each collapse opens another row up to six, and xBomb Wilds raise the multiplier and turn into new features as they go.

Collapsing Waterfall
Every spin starts with three active rows. Each collapse adds a row, up to six. A collapse happens after a win, after an xBomb Wild explodes, or after Wild Mining. Winning symbols are paid and removed, everything falls, and new symbols drop in.
xBomb Wild multiplier
An xBomb Wild substitutes for any symbol except Bonus symbols. When it explodes it clears its whole row and column (Bonus symbols stay) and adds +1 to the multiplier for the next collapse. After exploding it turns into another xBomb Wild, an xWays, an Infectious xWays or a normal paying symbol.
xWays and Infectious xWays
xWays becomes a paying symbol of size 2 to 4. Infectious xWays does the same and infects every other copy of that symbol on the reels, which grow to size 2 to 4 as well. Several Infectious xWays at once do not affect each other.
xSplit
An xSplit splits the symbols on its row and column, doubling them. Once every xSplit has fired, they turn into regular paying symbols. Dirt blocks hit by a split are removed on the next collapse.

Wild Mining fires in the base game when the line forms with no win and no active xBomb. The Wilds land in the middle of the line, and everything above the bar except Bonus and buried symbols explodes.
Buried features
Dirt symbols can hide an xBomb Wild, an xSplit or a Bonus symbol. They stay inactive until the dirt is removed or hit by an xSplit or an xBomb. A buried Bonus symbol is how many free spins rounds start.

An xBomb Wild can turn into an Infectious xWays symbol: a paying symbol of size 2 to 4 that also turns every other copy of that symbol on the reels into size 2 to 4, multiplying the ways to win.

No. xHole was a Fire in the Hole 3 feature. The fourth game's list does not include it; Infectious xWays and xSplit come out of the xBombs instead.
